Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 goes on sale in Italy

It’s official: the Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 will be on sale in Italy starting in July, specifically from the 7th. Two versions are coming: a basic one and another dedicated to the 150th anniversary of the unification of Italy.

Samsung is ready to launch its Galaxy Tab 10.1 in Italy, a tablet that aims to be a worthy rival to the iPad, albeit with a different operating system: Samsung’s new tablet is indeed an Android 3.1 (Honeycomb).
The presentation of the Galaxy Tab 10.1 in Italy will be a world premiere with an initial market distribution of 2000 units in what we could call the “Basic” version, meaning common worldwide.
Given the choice of our country for the launch of the tablet and the coincidence with the celebrations for the 150th anniversary of the unification of Italy, Samsung has also decided to produce a special version of the Galaxy Tab 10.1, with a special tricolor cover and exclusive content aligned with this important anniversary for Italy.
Until July 4th, this particular model will be available for auction on eBay: the proceeds will go to charity for humanitarian projects managed by the non-profit organization Fondazione Kennedy.
Positioning itself as the thinnest tablet in the world, with a thickness of 8 millimeters, the Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 is very light, thus a perfect ally for mobile entertainment.
Regarding the Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 in its “common” version, the selling price in Italy will be 599 euros.
