More energy autonomy for the Samsung Galaxy S3: in the coming days, it will be possible to purchase a kit with an accompanying super battery.
Despite the lack of official confirmation from Samsung, it seems that a special kit to extend the battery life of the Samsung Galaxy S3 will be released in the coming days.
Indeed, a page for a Samsung Galaxy S3 3000 mAh battery has appeared on the online store Amazon Germany, indicating availability starting January 5, 2013.
For about forty euros, you will be able to significantly enhance the device’s battery, making it more energy-independent between charging cycles.
It is no secret that smartphones and tablets are heavily impacted not only by the resources needed for increasingly larger displays but also by connection sessions, especially over 3G, which consume a lot of battery power.
The battery in question – already nicknamed the “extended” battery – could therefore extend battery life by about two hours.
All this comes at the cost of a small but necessary compromise: something will change from a design perspective.
The new 3000 mAh battery is slightly thicker than the standard battery available for the Samsung Galaxy S3: therefore, you will need to consider that the casing will be slightly more protruding overall.
However, nothing particularly conspicuous or that would negatively affect the overall ergonomics of the device.
It is not yet known if the extended battery kit for the Samsung Galaxy S3 will also arrive in Italy, as currently, it would seem to be available only to German consumers.
