Officially unveiled at CES 2012, the Samsung Galaxy Ace Plus confirms a series of rumors about its existence that circulated in the final weeks of 2011.
As the name already suggests, the new device takes inspiration from the Samsung Galaxy Ace or – to be more precise and explicit – it is nothing more than a slightly improved Samsung Galaxy Ace.
The chosen operating system is Android 2.3 Gingerbread, on which Samsung’s own TouchWiz UI interface is “seated”.
Regarding other technical specifications, we can mention the single-core 1 GHz processor with 512 MB of RAM and 3 GB of internal memory available to the user. It is possible to use microSD cards to expand its capacity.
Connectivity is ensured by support for Hsdpa networks up to 7.2 mb/s, WiFi, GPS, AGPS, and Bluetooth 3.0.
The screen is 3.65 inches with HVGA resolution and the camera is a 5-megapixel with LED flash and autofocus.
The main changes compared to its predecessor are aesthetic: the design has been slightly modified, suggesting more rounded lines and moving the camera’s position.
Overall, however, the changes are few, and for this reason, the price – still unknown – should continue to be in the mid-range.
