The launch of the Samsung Galaxy Ace Duos, the dual SIM smartphone whose features we can preview, on European markets has been officially announced.
A very fertile period for Samsung: the company is releasing one smartphone after another, starting with the highly anticipated Samsung Galaxy S 3.
Today’s news is that a new device is about to reach European stores: we are talking about the upcoming release of the new Samsung Galaxy Ace Duos.
The main feature is that it is a dual SIM smartphone: an extra usually much appreciated even in simple mobile phones, probably even more so in a smartphone.
The operating system will certainly be Android 2.3 Gingerbread: certainly not new in the field of operating systems, but so be it.
As for the processor, it will be 832 MHz and will work with 512 MB of RAM and 3 GB of internal memory, expandable with microSD cards.
The screen is a 3.5-inch touchscreen with an HVGA resolution of 320 × 480 pixels, on which all permitted operations can be performed and on which photos taken with the integrated 5-megapixel camera will be displayed. The latter will also be able to record VGA videos.
It is also noted that the battery is 1,300 mAh and finally the interface will be personalized by Duos.
Its appearance is pleasant and essential, just like its characteristics; the real strong point therefore remains the dual SIM system that allows both phone cards to function simultaneously, to always be reachable.
The price of the Samsung Galaxy Ace Duos has not yet been officially announced, but it should be around 200 – 250 euros. As for its release in Italy, it could be available during the summer, given that the only certain release is the one that will happen in Russia in June. Subsequently, it will also reach the markets of Latin America, China, the rest of Asia, and parts of Africa.
