Google has reportedly decided to entrust HTC with the creation of the next Nexus tablet.
First rumors and leaks are beginning to circulate regarding the potential new model of Nexus tablet, the new “Googletablet”.
It is rumored, in fact, that HTC has won out against other manufacturers interested in the development of the future tablet, thus securing the contract.
This is reported by “Focus Taiwan” which outlines the already reached agreement between Google and HTC.
The two companies, however, have not confirmed the leak at the moment, so it is best to take these hypotheses with a grain of salt.
Involved, in any case, would be the development of the next Nexus 7 2014, whose release is not expected before the summer but rather towards the end of the year.
This time, however, the tablet model under study could be defined as high-end, perhaps raising the price point of the device. Until today, however, Google has always offered models with competitive features at low prices.
Another leak regarding the next production of new Nexus tablets concerns the 10-inch model: in this case, it seems that the manufacturer will continue to be the already historic Asus.
Only a few weeks ago there were rumors of a possible entry of LG into the Nexus tablet race, whereas today the hypothesis seems to have become remote, in favor of a new name – HTC – alongside Asus.
It must be admitted that HTC has not managed to position itself well in the tablet market to date, as it has in the much-appreciated smartphone market, so a collaboration with Google could prove to be an excellent opportunity to seize in order to break through in this direction.
The landscape regarding Google devices would become truly varied: only a few days ago the leak, also reported here on the pages of FullPress, according to which the new Nexus 6 smartphone will be produced by Lenovo.
The coming months will reveal whether these rumors will turn into confirmations or not.
