Polaroid launches a small and compact mini action camera: it’s called Polaroid Cube.
Very interesting news from Polaroid: the company has just launched a new camera, this time a rather unique one.
It’s called the Polaroid Cube and it’s very small, compact, and square: it’s a tiny action camera that will be available soon and at an attractive price.
Perfect for an active lifestyle and for capturing moving scenes, the Cube features a 124-degree wide-angle lens and a 6-megapixel sensor.
It can record Full HD 1080p video footage which will be saved on an optional microSD card; additional storage supported this way can reach a maximum of 32 GB.
There’s a magnet on the bottom base, allowing for more stability and unique shooting angles.
As for its battery life, the company states that with a single charge, it can be used for filming for approximately 90 minutes.
The Polaroid Cube is also suitable for underwater shots, as it is waterproof; however, it should be noted that it cannot be used beyond two meters in depth.
Its design is also refined and eye-catching: attractive and colorful, the Cube is available in three color options. You can choose between black, red, or blue.
To enhance its performance, a series of accessories have also been launched and are available for separate purchase: there is a tripod, its corresponding mount, a mount to attach the Cube to a bicycle, and a waterproof case with a suction cup.
Two elements essentially stand out about this new action camera from Polaroid:
– its dimensions;
– its price.
This small and versatile photographic cube measures only 25 millimeters on each side, which is very little indeed. Even less than its current rival, the GoPro, which measures 40x55x28 millimeters.
Regarding the price of the Polaroid Cube, it hovers around 80 euros; it is already possible to pre-order it, with deliveries starting – including in Italy – from September 20, 2014.
