The new Pentax XG-1 has been presented, a bridge camera arriving from August. Here are its price and features.
Just a couple more weeks and the new Pentax XG-1 will be available for sale in stores in our country.
This news is confirmed as Ricoh has issued a press release to announce the timeline for its arrival in stores and, most importantly, the price of the Pentax XG-1.
This is a bridge camera that stands out for a series of good features.
Starting with the fact that it is equipped with a 52x stabilized zoom (equivalent to 24-1248mm with f/2.8-5.6).
The sensor is a 16-megapixel back-illuminated CMOS (ISO sensitivity up to 3200), useful not only for shooting photos but also for recording Full HD H.264 1920×1080 videos.
Speaking of shooting, it’s possible to take burst shots, up to a maximum of 9 photos per second; alternatively, it offers 30 frames per second at 4 megapixels or, finally, 60 fps with VGA resolution.
Another plus is the presence of the Shake Reduction sensor, which avoids the need for a tripod in certain circumstances and also limits camera shake.
There is also a 200,000-dot electronic viewfinder and a shutter speed up to 1/2000 seconds.
Everything is managed via the display, which in this case is 3 inches with a resolution of 460,000 dots.
Its arrival in stores is expected at the end of August, and the price of the Pentax XG-1 has been set – and thus recommended to retailers – at 319 euros.
