Parrot is about to launch its MiniDrones in our country too: here’s what to expect from Rolling Spider and Jumping Sumo and their respective prices in Italy.
An object of desire for some, strange technological “birds” for the vast majority of people, drones are starting to fly even in Italian cities.
The French company Parrot has formalized the release of two new MiniDrones for so-called “domestic” use: Rolling Spider and Jumping Sumo.
These are two models at an affordable price, therefore within reach of anyone who wants to have fun with these advanced “toys”.
Here are some of the main features of both drones:
- –Rolling Spider can fly and can move on the ground; it is equipped with a camera that takes pictures and shoots videos at regular intervals, saving everything to flash memory.
To remotely control the Rolling Spider, you will need to use the dedicated “FreeFlight3” app which uses Bluetooth technology to communicate with the drone. The maximum distance between the Rolling Spider and your personal device should be 20 meters.
As for battery life, Parrot states that the device can be used for about 8 minutes.
The price of the Rolling Spider is 99 euros.
- Jumping Sumo, on the other hand, cannot fly; it is equipped with two large wheels for this reason. However, it can lift itself, performing jumps up to a maximum height of 80 centimeters. Not only that: it runs, spins, performs acrobatics and complete rotations, depending on the conditions it operates in and the type of terrain. Controllable via the “FreeFlight3” app, it can perform a series of pre-set “choreographies” for about 20 continuous minutes.
The price of the Jumping Sumo is 159.90 euros.
Both Parrot MiniDrones will arrive on the Italian market in August but can already be pre-ordered at the moment.
