**Panasonic** announces the arrival in Italy of **Panasonic Eluga** and reveals the **price** of this waterproof smartphone.

Today’s news is that Eluga is ready for release in Italy, accompanied by a price that does not differ much from the estimate made a few months ago.
Before quantifying the amount needed for purchase, it is useful to briefly summarize the features of this smartphone.
No further news about the operating system: confirmed is the presence of Android Gingerbread, although the company has committed to launching an update during the summer, in order to equip Eluga with the latest Android 4 Ice Cream Sandwich.
As for the hardware, the screen is a qHD capacitive type with dimensions of 4.3 inches.
This means that most of the smartphone’s body is taken up by the spacious and bright screen which covers about 66% of the total.
Another distinctive feature that from the start has represented a great novelty is the extreme ability to resist water.
Eluga can indeed remain immersed in one meter of water for up to 30 minutes without stopping functioning. A real marvel.
The arrival in Italian stores is expected right these days and, as for the price of Panasonic Eluga, it is reported that the company recommends selling it at 429 euros. However, on the web there are already some offers: onAmazon, for example, at the moment the Eluga in black version costs 419.99 euros.
