Office for iPad has finally become available for iPad, in both free and paid versions: here is all the useful information.
After months of anticipation and uncertainty regarding its release date, Office for iPad has finally arrived on the App Store.
The news was heralded by an enthusiastic tweet from Tim Cook’s official account: “Welcome to the #iPad and @AppStore! @satyanadella and Office for iPad” read the chirp that kicked off the downloads.
The new application was undoubtedly designed more for business users than for consumers, and not by chance it is a package that does not present itself the same way as for iPhone.
This already gives an idea of the fact that they wanted to clearly differentiate the two versions, precisely to better adapt them to the intended use.
Office for iPad thus allows the use of Word, Excel, and PowerPoint and is available starting now for free. However, without paying any amount, it will only be possible to use the application in consultation and reading mode, while to modify documents, operate effectively, and ultimately edit the material of interest, a paid subscription to Microsoft 365 will be required. The price mentioned is $99 per year.
Whether used for free or not, documents opened and used with Office for iPad can then be saved and will automatically synchronize to become immediately accessible on other devices as well, fully embracing the concept of the cloud.
