Nook, touchscreen ebook reader: price and features

Nook is the new ebook reader arriving on the market starting June 10th. Its main feature is the touchscreen. Here is the price of Nook and some other details.

A new ebook reader arrives, Nook, which will very likely carve out a good slice of users due to the fact that it is equipped with a touchscreen.
This is the most evident feature of this ebook reader, created and distributed by Barnes & Noble and arriving in stores from June 10th.
Nook runs on Android 2.1 and its core is an 800 MHz TI OMAP 3 processor. Aesthetic “trimmings” are practically reduced to zero: Nook has only a central button, so everything can be done agilely via the screen.
Often, in the presence of a touchscreen, the first thought goes to battery consumption: from the press release, it is learned that Nook consumes very little, as Barnes & Noble declares that with a full charge the ebook reader can function for up to about 2 months.
Obviously, the duration decreases when using a 3G connection.
Speaking of connection, it is possible to directly access the Nook Friends community and mynook.com, to manage your ebook list and interact with other users.
Nook is already available for pre-order on the official website, while offline sales will begin on June 10th. The price of Nook is 139 dollars.
