Nokia Lumia 505, low-cost smartphone officially launching

The Nokia Lumia 505 is the new Nokia smartphone designed to satisfy those looking for a low-cost device. Here are its features.

Nokia has announced the upcoming release of a new smartphone, characterized by rather basic but sufficient elements for a decent mobile experience.
Its name is Nokia Lumia 505 and it will initially be marketed in Mexico, but it is not yet known if and when it will reach the European market.
Given its characteristics, the price – although not yet official – will be quite affordable.
The operating system will be Windows Phone 7.8, with no future possibility of an upgrade to WP8.
The processor is a single core at 800 MHz, with 256 MB of RAM and little internal memory, also because there is no slot for expansion via micro SD; however, to overcome this issue, Nokia provides 7 GB of cloud storage on Microsoft’s SkyDrive.

The display will be 3.7 inches with WVGA resolution of 480 x 800 pixels, and there will be an 8-megapixel camera.
Connectivity is assured by Wi-fi, 2G, 3G modules, and Bluetooth 2.1, and finally, the battery will be 1300 mAh.
Three launch colors: magenta, red, and black.
Not many other details have been revealed, and above all, the price indication is missing, but – given the very “elementary” characteristics – it will be within reach for many.
