Sky 3D for free arrives on Nintendo 3DS: this is the effect of the agreement signed between Nintendo and Sky. Here are the details.
Starting March 28, 2012, Nintendo 3DS devices will be able to receive some extra content from Sky Video and particularly from Sky 3D, thanks to the agreement reached between the two entities.
The range of content viewable on Nintendo 3DS is therefore expanding: in addition to the classic materials already distributed by the “Nintendo Video” service, starting Wednesday it will be possible to watch some documentaries and key moments from the most important Serie A league matches, as well as short clips related to Sky 3D’s programming.
The first two examples of this collaboration will be the documentary “Meerkats – Guardians of the Desert” produced by National Geographic” and the most decisive plays from the Juventus – Inter match, played last Sunday.
The offering will gradually expand in the coming weeks and will be automatically loaded onto your Nintendo 3DS via the usual SpotPass system, which allows you to receive updates whenever a Wi-Fi internet connection is available.
All of this will be completely free, so Nintendo 3DS owners will not need to sign any contract or make any payments whatsoever.
Sky continues its expansion onto mobile devices: just a few weeks ago we reported on the availability of Sky Go on smartphones and tablets, a sign that the future of general communication – and not just the web strictly speaking – will increasingly involve the consumption of content on the go.
