Pre-orders for the new Nexus 7 are now open: its release in Italy is imminent. Here is the proposed price and which model will be immediately available.
The new Google Nexus 7, the record-breaking tablet in terms of sales since its launch, is now arriving in Italy.
For a few hours now, various major retailers have begun adding the Nexus 7 to their catalogs.
This is the case, for example, with Euronics, which has uploaded the Nexus 7 page to its website, where it can also be purchased online.
In this instance, however, pre-orders have not yet started but the price is already listed: 249 euros, including shipping costs. This is specifically the 16 GB model.
The same page does not indicate an actual availability date, but to find out more, the Fnac website clarifies doubts: on this store, pre-orders have already begun, and it is specified that shipping will commence starting from September 4, 2012.
There’s an immediate consideration to be made: it now seems confirmed that the Google Nexus 7 with 8 GB and a price of 199 euros will not be commercialized in Italy.
At least for the moment, in fact, it does not seem to be available, and this might perhaps mean that Google has decided to reserve its sale only through its direct channel; this is merely an optimistic hypothesis, because, otherwise, it could mean that in our country the only Nexus 7 available might instead be the top-of-the-range 16 GB model.
In the coming days, closer to the start of sales, more information will certainly emerge regarding the 8 GB model: given its attractive price, it is the desired tablet for many people who were eagerly awaiting its release in Italy.
