New iPad, overheating and poor reception: problems ahead?

Expected in Italy in a couple of days, the new iPad seems to show issues with overheating and reception, according to news coming from America. Apple has issued an initial statement on the matter.

It is not yet on sale in Italy but the new iPad is already making waves even in our country.
The first complaints from some buyers are beginning to appear, mostly in America.
Apparently the new iPad would cause overheating issues: this is the alarm coming from across the Ocean.
It seems that in some cases the new iPad has reached quite high temperatures, for example when used with games that demand a lot of energy.
Some report overheating on the lower left part of the tablet; others speak of a general temperature increase, understandably more concentrated on the display.
Some, rather than talking about overheating, mention Wi-Fi signal reception problems already invoking the specter of a new Antennagate.
As for this last issue, there has been no official explanation yet from Apple, but regarding the new iPad overheating the company has already partially commented.
A clear sign that probably the reports have not been few and that Apple has therefore taken note of the issue.
The spokesperson is Trudy Miller who, without explicitly admitting any tablet malfunction, states that “the new iPad has a fantastic Retina Display, an A5 chip, support for 4G LTE networks, and 10 hours of battery life, all within our thermal specifications. If our customers have any problems or doubts, they can contact our AppleCare“.

So it would seem there is indeed at least an early warning sign, not supported by any admission but still open to official assistance in case of issues.
It is important to know that, in the technical specifications of the new iPad, the acceptable and normal “thermal tolerance” is between 32 and 95 degrees Fahrenheit: only above this threshold could there actually be a problem, according to Apple.
We just have to wait for March 23, the day when tablet sales will also start in Italy, at the prices for the new iPad already officially announced by Apple.
Only by the end of March will we know if the Italian tablets will also make a “hot” debut or not.
