On the connectivity front, this new series of NAS provides 2 Gigabit Ethernet ports and 2 USB 3.0 ports (3 in rackmount models), which can be useful for connecting external drives for backup operations or to increase storage space.
This new family of NAS also boasts the Duplex System Firmware, a technology that ensures maximum protection against possible boot problems, thanks to the presence of the firmware on both the hard disks and the mainboard.
Particularly simple to use and configure, the TeraStation 3010 series allow for complete RAID management and offer a rich set of features including Active Directory support, iSCSI, the ability to manage cloud backups (Amazon S3, Dropbox, and Dropbox for Business), and WebAccess to access NAS content remotely.
An additional plus is the exclusive VIP Support on HDDs formula, which all Buffalo TeraStations feature. In case of any failure of the supplied disks, Buffalo provides for a period of 3 years, also free at-home replacement of defective disks within 24 hours.
