Motorola has introduced the Motorola Wilder, a low-priced smartphone with great potential. It is, above all, a very robust and resistant device.
Hearing the price of Motorola Wilder doesn’t immediately make one think it could be a smartphone with good features; rather, one might believe it’s just a basic phone.
Instead, the Motorola Wilder surprises first and foremost with its robustness and resistance to shocks, dust, scratches, and water, all within a contained weight of just 92 grams.
The casing has rounded lines, is waterproof, and – taking an overall look – features a 2.8-inch display with a resolution of 240 x 320 pixels, of the resistive type.
A smaller, secondary display can also be noticed, an OLED measuring 96×16 pixels, designed as an “alert viewer” for notifications, SMS reception alerts, songs being played, and generally for monitoring the smartphone’s activity.
It has a 2-megapixel camera that can also record videos, in addition to taking photos; all of this will be saved in the available 5 MB of memory, further expandable via microSD.
A few games are preloaded on the Motorola Wilder, but more importantly, it already includes several social networking apps: the icons for direct connection to Facebook, Twitter, Myspace, and Youtube are indispensable.
The battery isn’t the most powerful, being 910mAh, but Motorola claims up to approximately 575 minutes of talk time and 255 hours of standby.
Regarding the price of Motorola Wilder, the price recommended by Motorola itself is only 89 euros.
