Some previews of Mega have been leaked, the reborn project from Kim Dotcom, the father of Megaupload.
As also announced on FullPress a few weeks ago, the countdown has begun which will lead to the official launch of Mega, the new platform born from the ashes of Megaupload.
The opening date was set some time ago by Kim Dotcom himself, and it is January 19, 2013: which is why curiosity about Mega is increasingly circulating.
Meanwhile, we learn that the new file-sharing method on the Mega network should no longer put Kim Dotcom in a position of being held directly responsible for what is uploaded to the system.
It seems, in fact, that Mega will be based on an algorithm that, once a file to be shared is uploaded, will automatically encrypt each individual element, making the user responsible for choosing an access key.
Therefore, the person uploading the material will decide who to give access to the content. This means that, since everything is encrypted, not even the leadership of Mega will ever be able to know the content of what is released via the sharing platform.
Another preview concerns the storage made available for each new user: due to the opening of Mega, it has been decided to give away 50 GB of free space to new subscribers.
Nothing else hastrickled out from Kim Dotcom’s cryptic tweets, who, since the beginnings of this new project, has always used Twitter to give small pieces of information to his followers.
Therefore, only one day left until the new Mega is unveiled.
