Life in a Day, a Cinematic Experiment on YouTube

All those who wish to be part of YouTube’s cinematic experiment, called Life in a Day, should not miss the appointment with their video camera or camcorder tomorrow, July 24th.

The YouTube channel Life in a Day (www.youtube.com/lifeinaday) will host extracts of everyday life from anyone who wishes to contribute to the project, a global directing and video experiment aiming to capture the dynamic, multifaceted image – across all latitudes – of a single day on Earth.
The chosen date is, precisely, July 24th, and the videos that will flow into this enormous cauldron of frames will be of any genre: from breakfast, to a child’s first steps, to traffic, to an afternoon spent studying, and so on. Director Kevin Macdonald will then give meaning to the millions of minutes uploaded for the project, forming a one-of-a-kind documentary.
The creators of the selected footage will appear in the credits as co-directors, and 20 of them will fly to Park City, Utah, for the film’s world premiere at the Sundance Film Festival in 2011.
The appointment is therefore set for tomorrow, July 24th, on the dedicated channel. For further clarification and inspiration, we recommend watching this video created for the event, in Italian.
