LG Watch Urbane, High-End Smartwatch Incoming

The LG Watch Urbane is LG’s new smartwatch for a demanding and select audience: here are its features.

The Mobile World Congress 2015 in Barcelona is just around the corner, but the first leaks about the flagship products that major participating companies will present are already emerging.
It’s the right showcase, in fact, to highlight the innovations that will likely characterize upcoming store releases.
This is the case for LG, which appears to be preparing to unveil a new smartwatch, this time seemingly not intended for the “masses” but for a more select clientele.
It’s the LG Watch Urbane, a more refined wearable made with different materials compared to previous models: the case is indeed made of stainless steel, with polished silver or polished gold finishes.
The strap, on the other hand, is made of leather, mostly interchangeable with any 22mm strap (widely recognized as a standard size).
A “simple” but true classic watch, on the surface; a very elegant wearable device, in reality.
The round display (a 1.3-inch P-OLED with 320 x 320 pixel resolution and 254 ppi) actually hides a 1.2 GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 processor, supported by 512 MB of RAM and 4 GB of internal storage.

It is worth noting that the LG Watch Urbane smartwatch is not waterproof, although it is resistant to external accidents, having obtained IP67 certification.
Another notable omission is GPS, while a barometer and the indispensable heart rate monitor are present.
As for the battery, it is 410 mAh.
There is no further information about the smartwatch; it will undoubtedly be discussed again at the Mobile World Congress 2015 in Barcelona; the price of the LG Watch Urbane will probably also be revealed, but it is likely that the figure will be high.
