LG Optimus 3D Max: Features of the New 3D Smartphone

The LG Optimus 3D Max is one of LG’s flagship smartphones, presented at the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona: here are its technical specifications.

The Mobile World Congress in Barcelona also highlighted LG’s flagship smartphone models. Among them, the LG Optimus 3D Max was presented, a 3D smartphone that, in reality, did not generate immense enthusiasm, likely because the operating system remains Android 2.3.
It is true that, once launched, the device can be updated to Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich, but one wonders why not make the effort to natively provide this new version of the operating system.
As for the rest, there are few major differences with its predecessor LG Optimus 3D: the presence of a 1.2GHz Dual Core-Dual Channel processor paired with 1 GB of RAM is notable.
The screen is a NOVA IPS TFT with a resolution of 480 x 800 pixels and measures 4.3 inches. Regarding the photo and video capabilities, we find two cameras: the main one on the back is 6 megapixels, while the front-facing one, useful for video chat, is 2 megapixels.
Its dimensions are quite compact: 67.4 x 126.8 x 9.6 mm, with an overall weight of 148 grams.
There are some improvements: the 3G network speed has been enhanced, with the transition to HSPA+ at 21 Mbps.
In addition to capturing moments through 3D photos and videos, it is quite expected that some online services can also be experienced in 3D mode: this is the case for 3D Google Earth and Google Maps, which can “come to life” simply by pressing the 3D conversion button on the device.

The price of the LG Optimus 3D Max is not yet known, nor is the precise release date: what is certain is that the device will be launched on the Korean market during March and will only arrive in Europe later.
