iPotty: toddler potty with built-in iPad

iPotty is the potty for children equipped with iPad, presented at CES 2013. Here is its price and functionality.

Among the many innovations presented by numerous companies on the occasion of CES 2013, a decidedly new and particular object has also emerged, useful for very young children.
It is called ” iPotty” and it is a potty for the needs of the little ones.
What is technological about such a common object used in the bathroom? iPotty is distinguished by being equipped with a support for iPad.
The idea, launched by the company CTA Digital, stems from the observation that more and more people use their tablet or smartphone when they are in the bathroom.
Newspapers or books during personal “reflection breaks” have been replaced by technological devices, so children are witnessing this new habit developed by parents.
Increasingly receptive and naturally inclined to emulation, even the little ones show interest in tablets, and so iPotty allows the tablet to be housed – the iPad, in particular – on a sort of lectern, so as to avoid accidental drops of the tablet.
The launch of iPotty at CES 2013 was only the debut of this object in the Olympus of devices that can be combined with tablets, as the CTA Digital company is already planning to expand the range of possibilities for using the potty, which can now only be used with iPads but will soon be usable with other types of tablets.

To those who do not appreciate the initiative, considering it wrong and excessive to bring very young children to use a tablet even on the potty, the company responds that the purpose is instead different: to help the child become autonomous when it is necessary to go to the bathroom.
It is known, in fact, that the transition from diapers to the potty is not always simple and automatic, and iPotty should instead help in this regard.
While waiting to understand if the object will be successful, it should be noted that iPotty will be marketed online starting from the month of March, at a price of around 25 euros (of course, iPad not included).
