iPhone 5: 19-pin dock increasingly likely

Rumors are increasing that the new iPhone 5 will be equipped with a 19-pin dock and no longer 30-pin: here are the possible future scenarios.

Continuing the theme of iPhone 5 rumors, we return to discussing the exterior design of Apple’s next smartphone.
According to a dispatch from the news agency Reuters , the new iPhone 5 will be equipped with a 19-pin dock, as stated by a couple of sources close to and within Apple.
The new component might be placed next to the headphone jack, becoming smaller compared to the setup on previous iPhones.
Naturally, this suggests that the headphone jack itself will no longer be located at the top of the device but, conversely, at the bottom.
A solution that naturally appeals greatly to accessory manufacturers, as it would lead to the release of new, previously non-existent adapters.
On the other hand, Apple users are not at all pleased with this change, as all other Apple devices feature a 30-pin dock: the convenience of carrying a single charger for multiple devices is useful.

If the news is confirmed in practice, we would have to equip ourselves with more chargers: a decidedly less practical solution.
Not to mention other types of accessories, useful for enabling devices to communicate with various peripherals.
To overcome the problem, one would have to focus on purchasing an adapter and thus the discussion of convenience for manufacturers of devices and accessories returns.
However, it is also true that mini-docks have been discussed for years: evidently, the issue was postponed for previous products, but today it seems no longer deferrable.
