iPad 2: Three Models Incoming

There is already talk of the second series of the iPad; iPad 2 will probably be presented in three new versions: Wi-Fi, Wi-Fi 3G UMTS on GSM networks, and Wi-Fi 3G on CDMA networks.

While nothing is leaking from Cupertino about the future of the iPad, the tablet that has strongly shaken – positively – a somewhat stagnant market, returning significant financial satisfaction to Apple, the Digitimes website is once again talking about the possible successor to the slate.
According to rumors gathered by Digitimes, iPad 2 could see the light of day in three different versions. While considering probable screen improvements (there’s talk of a hypothetical new anti-glare treatment that could enhance the video experience), the real key to iPad 2 will be its connectivity potential. The three versions, in fact, will be distinguished from each other precisely by this: there’s already talk of an iPad 2 with Wi-Fi, a second version with Wi-Fi 3G on GSM networks, and finally the third variant would be the iPad with Wi-Fi 3G UMTS on CDMA networks. The latter would arouse great interest in the United States, as it would mean integration into mobility with Verizon and Sprint networks.
By doing so, all carriers could launch opportune offers for iPad users: in fact, a new market would open within the current one which, in the United States, would be quite large.
Speculation abounds in this regard, as these are rumors spread by DigiTimes and not official statements from Cupertino. However, the site that released this scoop in the past has proven to be very close to the truth, and this time too, it bets on the sales boom of iPad 2. Sources from Apple’s supply chain (some LCD panel manufacturers, specifically) would have indicated that the number of components ordered by Apple would be very high and, all things considered, would lead to hypothesizing sales predictions quadrupled compared to the results achieved in 2010 for iPad sales.
Too much optimism or confidence in the product to be launched probably soon?
