The release of any new operating system usually highlights, in the early stages of launch, some bugs and various errors.
This is inevitably happening also with the presentation of iOS 7, available for a few days on iPhones worldwide.
One of the iOS 7 bugs highlighted in these hours relates to the possibility of making phone calls even with the screen locked by security code.
Normally, it is necessary to unlock the phone by entering the password via the screen that appears when trying to use the iPhone.
However, due to this bug, it is possible to initiate calls even without entering the code.
It was discovered that by tapping on the “Emergency” command and then quickly dialing the desired phone number followed by the call button, the iPhone with iOS 7 switches to a blank screen, showing only the Apple logo.
The phone appears to still be locked or perhaps crashing, yet the call will be observed to have started and be in progress.
Thus, this bug allows anyone to make calls at will, even with the device on the Lockscreen.
Apple has promised that the bug will be eliminated in the coming days, however, at the moment there is no technical solution that can be applied to prevent the problem. The only possible precaution is personal good sense: it is better not to leave the device unattended.
