When creators collaborate on Instagram, they inspire each other, creating trends and consistently original content. Ensuring they receive proper credit is more important than ever.
When creators collaborate on Instagram, they inspire each other, creating trends and consistently original content. Ensuring they receive proper credit is more important than ever, especially for creators from underrepresented communities whose contributions often remain in the shadows. This is why “Advanced Tags” have been introduced on Instagram.
An adequate system for recognizing creators’ contributions is a starting point towards greater visibility, new opportunities, and economic independence.
In recent years, the Instagram community has found various ways to support one another, such as tagging each other in photos and captions. Starting today, you can use the new “Advanced Tag” feature, which also allows you to display the category selected by creators in their professional profile. This will offer greater visibility to a creator’s specific contribution on a photo or video post.
As Reels continue to be the primary driver of engagement growth on Instagram, we are pleased to extend Advanced Tags to Instagram Reels as well. For example, if you contributed to the makeup, soundtrack, or other important elements of a piece of content, your work will be more visible in the post or Reel.
