HTC Salsa is the new HTC smartphone that, together with HTC ChaCha, bases the device’s user experience on a social key.
HTC Salsa, along with HTC ChaCha, is the HTC smartphone designed for 2.0 sociality: what sets it apart is the presence of the Facebook button. Pressing it allows direct connection to the social network, thanks to the HTC Sense experience.
The Facebook button on HTC Salsa backlights whenever there are updates on your profile or when there’s an opportunity to share something with your friends on the social network.
HTC Salsa also integrates Android Gingerbread 2.3.3 and allows for video calls, thanks to the front VGA camera and a good display on the 3.4-inch touchscreen with 480 x 320 resolution. The second camera on HTC Salsa is 5 megapixels.
HTC Salsa will be available in the second quarter of 2011 at a price not yet officially announced by HTC.
