HTC One: price, features, and release

**HTC** presents its new top-of-the-range smartphone: it’s **HTC One**. Here’s the **price**, availability, features, and release date.

In advance of the Mobile World Congress 2013 in Barcelona opening its doors, HTC wasted no time and launched its new top-of-the-line smartphone: it’s theHTC One.
The device presents elegant and slim lines, accompanied by respectable hardware and rather important features.
Let’s start with one of the most visible parts, the screen: HTC One has a 4.7-inch Full HD display with Gorilla Glass and a resolution of 462 ppi).
As for its core, HTC announces the use of a 1.7GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon processor, with 2 GB of RAM.
The operating system will continue to be Android (4.1.2 to be precise), but the HTC Sense 5 interface will be entirely new and lighter; it will also allow for the quick and automatic aggregation of news and content of interest, thanks to the proprietary “Blinkfeed” system.
However, perhaps the camera is the most significant innovation: the photographic compartment consists of two cameras, one front-facing for video calls and the other – the main one – truly noteworthy.

It actually has Ultrapixel technology that allows it to capture much more light (around 300% more) and, above all, larger pixels. It also has a 28 mm lens with an f/2.0 aperture and, with the HTC Zoe function, it literally makes photos “come alive.” The captured images can become fragments – similar to short videos – of three seconds; these moving photos can also be edited later, “linking” them to other small videos to form something new and different.
The audio compartment is also noteworthy, featuring Beats Audio technology and the new HTC BoomSound system that amplifies sounds from the stereo speakers with an amplifier, all placed at the front.
There will be two internal memory options available: 32 GB or 64 GB, and regarding battery life, the 2300 mAh battery should provide good usability for the smartphone.
The price of the HTC One will be around 699 euros, arriving at retailers during the month of March.
