HTC is reinventing writing on tablets with the presentation of HTC Flyer, its first device in the tablet category. HTC Flyer promises a highly personalized user experience, starting with rediscovering your own handwriting: with the help of a stylus, you can take notes as if you were using an old, obsolete notebook, thanks to HTC Scribe technology.
At the same time, however, the touch mode ensures you won’t miss using your bare fingers on the screen.
Speaking of the display, it’s a 7-inch screen, framed by an aluminum unibody. This gives it great lightness and, due to its very slim profile, HTC Flyer easily fits into a pocket.
Inside, it runs Android, with a 1.5GHz processor and high-speed HSPA+ wireless connection: power is therefore guaranteed, along with speed.
Supporting HTML5 and Flash 10, web browsing is as smooth as viewing 3D multimedia content, thanks to HTC Sense technology, initially designed for HTC smartphones but now thoughtfully redesigned for tablets. Speaking of multimedia content, thanks to the integration of HTC Watch, you can use a legal video download service to carry high-definition movies with you for a few euros.
HTC Flyer already includes various games: from NBA 2K11, to Assassin’s Creed II Brotherhood, to Lego Harry Potter.
The price of HTC Flyer has not yet been announced, while the sales date is expected in the second quarter of 2011, i.e., between April and June 2011.
