The HTC Explorer arrives on the market with its low-cost smartphone price and technical features that ensure a good mobile experience.
HTC has just announced the release of HTC Explorer, a low-end smartphone with basic and limited features, perfect for the “entry-level” device segment.
The price of the HTC Explorer has not yet been officially announced, but the company HTC has focused its communication and launch on the product’s affordability.
In any case, it is expected to have an indicative price of less than 300 euros to purchase the HTC Explorer.
Regarding technical specifications, it is already known that the HTC Explorer is equipped with a 3-megapixel camera, which however lacks a flash, while the screen is a 3.2-inch HVGA touchscreen.
Performance is not exactly the strong suit of the HTC Explorer: the processor is 600 MHz. On the other hand, the basic configuration should not require particularly demanding performance.
As with all recent HTC models, the Explorer also features the integrated HTC Sense platform.
Automatic URL correction facilitates web browsing, as does the “Smart URL” function which draws from about a hundred important websites to suggest the desired website address.
The HTC Explorer will be released on the market in the fourth quarter of 2011 and will be distributed in the base colors Metallic Navy, Active Navy, Metallic Black, and Active Black. Optionally, it will be possible to customize the smartphone with special covers currently planned in the colors Metallic Purple, Metallic Blue, Metallic White, and Metallic Orange.
