GoPro Hero 4 is the new line of the most famous action cam: here are the prices of all the new versions.
Good news for those looking for a high-performance action cam: the new line from GoPro.
The decision was made to diversify the offering based on the type of potential user, and thus two versions have been announced:
- the GoPro Hero 4 Black;
- the GoPro Hero 4 Silver.
GoPro Hero 4 Black is the top-of-the-line action cam, with a processor that – in terms of power – is twice that of the previous model.
This means that, translated into performance, QHD videos at 4k HD at 30 frames per second (fps) or 2.7k at 50 frames per second can be produced.
There is then the possibility of reaching 1080 and 120 fps for super slow-motion recordings, with thus very high quality.
Much has also been done on the audio front, as well as from a purely photographic point of view.
Excellent overall results can be achieved with the “QuickCapture” option of continuous shooting.
Even at night, it works well, thanks to the introduction of the “Night-Photo” and “Night-Lapse” modes, for more defined results.
The price of the GoPro Hero 4 Black will be around 480 euros.
Regarding the GoPro Hero 4 Silver, the first characteristic certainly worth noting – as it is immediately apparent – is the presence of a touchscreen display that allows you to set functions and review your footage with just a touch of your fingers.
Here are the video resolutions that can be set:
4K at 15fps, 2.7K at 30fps, Full HD 1440p 48fps/1080p/60fps/960p/100fps/720p/120fps.
As for photos, shooting can be done at a maximum resolution of 12 megapixels and – exactly like the top-of-the-line model – the GoPro Hero 4 Silver also has the functionalities just mentioned, relating to use in night mode.
The cost difference between the two models is significant: the GoPro Hero 4 Silver has a recommended price of around 380 euros.
