Google Cloud Connect for Microsoft Office, plugin ready

Working remotely will be even easier from today with the introduction by Google of the plugin Google Cloud Connect for Microsoft Office. An additional integration to what is already possible through Google Docs. Currently, MAC users cannot yet take advantage of this new feature related not only to Office 2010, but also to versions 2007 e 2003.
With Google Cloud Connect for Microsoft Office you will be able to work on documents in cloud mode, integrating online changes with offline editing. This tool is useful, for example, for those who work remotely, especially since Google Cloud Connect for Microsoft Office tracks the various changes made: everything is therefore documented.
To make the product familiar and useful to companies, Google will allow free use of Google Cloud Connect for Microsoft Office for 90 days, during which every feature can be tested, also thanks to the possibility to contact the team of experts available.
Google Cloud Connect for Microsoft Office is indeed a paid tool, both for companies and individuals: subscriptions range from 50 dollars up to solutions costing 15 thousand dollars, depending on the size of the company that will use the plugin.
It is impossible not to expect a statement from Microsoft, since this is a plugin that interacts with products from the Redmond factory: well, Microsoft certainly did not toast the news of the arrival of Google Cloud Connect for Microsoft Office, although the tone of the comments was very diplomatic. Clint Patterson, director of Microsoft Online Services, spoke on behalf of the company stating that this is a sign of Google’s recognition of the very high demand recorded for Office, however Microsoft adds that users are likely to find Google Cloud Connect for Microsoft Office below their needs.
