By April 15, 2017, companies and startups can submit their digital innovation projects online. A jury of over 60 CIOs will select the best ideas in 16 technological areas and 8 sectors. Awards will be presented at the closing event on July 5 in Milan.
The call for applications for the second edition of Digital360 Awards, the initiative by Gruppo Digital360 that aims to enhance the culture of innovation and digital entrepreneurship in Italy by awarding the best projects created by IT companies and startups (which have at least one client), selected by a jury of over 60 Chief Information Officers from the most important Italian industrial groups and public entities based on criteria of originality, replicability, and benefits provided.
Companies and startups can submit their applications by April 15, 2017, through the website www.digital360awards.it. An initial screening based on the material provided by participants will select the projects that can be presented to the jury on June 7 through a 5-minute pitch.
The winners will be announced on July 5 in Milan on the closing day, open to the public and the press, with various institutional guests. One project will be awarded for each technological category and each sector, in addition to some special awards: for the best Digital Transformation project, for the most innovative startup, and for the project with the most significant social impact.
The Digital360 Awards aim to promote the culture of innovation and entrepreneurship in the digital field in Italy. “In a country with a significant delay on the digital front, highlighting the best projects, presented to the CIOs of major Italian companies and public administration, represents a unique opportunity to create and spread a new culture,” says Andrea Rangone, CEO of Digital360. “The Awards indeed generate a virtuous mechanism for sharing the most innovative experiences among companies, suppliers, startups, and institutions.”
In the first edition, the Digital360 Awards received 140 applications and saw 39 finalist projects presented, awarding 16 initiatives (you can consult the pitches of the selected projects here). “Building on the success of last edition, which gathered high-value projects from very diverse realities,” continues Andrea Rangone, “we are opening the second edition of the Digital360 Awards by further expanding the initiative: we invite companies and startups to submit their projects in large numbers.”
