A couple of weeks before its release, Canon officially presents the technical details and the price of the Canon EOS 650D, the new digital SLR.
Another digital SLR from Canon: it’s called “Canon EOS 650D” and it’s the next model to be released, expected in stores in the coming days, starting from the end of June.
Thus, like the latest arrivals from Canon, the Canon EOS 650D is equipped with the powerful 14-bit DIGIC 5 processor, the ally that quickly processes photos and videos.
Capturing landscapes and subjects is the 18 MP APS-C Hybrid CMOS sensor that works at speed, allowing you to shoot up to 5 frames per second (fps).
Suitable for all circumstances, this DSLR ranges over a native ISO range from 100 to 12,800, expandable to 25,600 in low light conditions.
Good autofocus, so much so that this DSLR proves invaluable in motion situations, such as in sports competition shots.
It’s the advanced 9-point AF system that intervenes in this regard, which, together with the Hybrid AF System and 31 focus zones, provides sharpness and quality to all images, including videos.
Speaking of movies, it is indeed possible to shoot Full HD videos (1920x1080p), taking advantage of a welcome new feature: the camera also includes a built-in stereo audio microphone which can be optionally paired with an external microphone (not supplied in the package) as the dedicated input is present.
Interesting is the inclusion of the integrated wireless flash transmitter, for simple and fast sharing of photos and videos.
The biggest novelty of this DSLR is undoubtedly the screen: it is a 3-inch (7.7 cm) LCD touch display with adjustable viewing angles, Clear View II.
The price of the Canon EOS 650D is 861 euros including VAT, considering the body only.
