Call of Duty Black Ops is the most downloaded game of 2010: a massive number of downloads has placed it at the top of the list of most downloaded games in the year drawing to a close. An important achievement that would have been considered miraculous by anyone, if not for one “detail”: Call of Duty: Black Ops was mostly downloaded illegally.
The 2010 ranking of the most pirated games was compiled by TorrentFreak, which for its data considers the number of BitTorrent downloads; a consideration is not missed: as last year, this time too, the most pirated game falls into the shooter category (in 2009 the record was held by the previous installment, namely Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2).
The 4,270,000 illegal downloads were made for the PC version; additionally, 1 million downloads for Xbox 360 must be added, also illegal in this case.
Activision Blizzard therefore takes home a sort of unofficial recognition, which has the bittersweet taste of a mockery.
