To verify browsing and connection speed, here is the “Misura Internet” tool, available for download.
To determine if your online browsing speed truly aligns with the parameters advertised by your provider, there’s now a more advanced tool that not only measures but also certifies the results. It’s called “Misura Internet” and is available for download from the website www.misurainternet.it. You can use two different software packages: the first is the speed test, and the second is for certifying connection quality. Therefore, the first step will be to launch the speed test. Before doing so, you’ll need to carefully fill out a series of fields to ensure the tool specifically monitors your provider’s performance for the line in question. Furthermore, the new speed test will also analyze the impact on memory and CPU, providing an overall picture of all factors that can influence your connection’s performance, in relation to the available hardware. After obtaining the results for upload, download, and Round Trip Time measurements, you can proceed to the second phase: certification.
With the other software, Ne.Me.Sys., you can then receive a summary of your line’s performance. This report can be used should you decide to file a complaint against your current operator, naturally if the preliminary tests show data lower than what was promised and stipulated contractually. This is possible because Misura Internet is the response to the need for transparent and comparable data regarding the quality of services rendered by telecommunications operators, as regulated by Article 72 of the Electronic Communications Code.
