BlackBerry Z10 Coming Soon: Features

The BlackBerry Z10 is the new smartphone just launched by BlackBerry: the company – formerly RIM – has also changed its name.

Wednesday, January 30, 2013, was a date to mark on the calendar for Research in Motion (RIM): not only was the new BlackBerry Z10 smartphone unveiled, but the company also announced a brand name change.
The company has indeed decided to abandon the name “RIM” to become simply BlackBerry, exactly like the brand’s products.
As for the new BlackBerry Z10 product, it is a smartphone equipped with a 4.3-inch full-touch screen, a resolution of 1280×768 pixels, and 356 PPI.
The operating system is the brand new BlackBerry 10, and the processor is a 1.5 GHz dual-core Snapdragon S4 Plus, which interfaces with 2 GB of RAM and 16 GB of internal storage. The latter can be expanded with a dedicated microSD card.
There are two cameras: the rear one has 8 megapixels, while the secondary front-facing one has 2 megapixels.

Connectivity is based on Wi-Fi a/b/g/n modules, GPS, Bluetooth, and NFC. Useful ports are also included, such as the HDMI video and microphone output, the micro USB port, and the 2.5 mm jack for earphones.
Supporting the smartphone’s operation is an 1800 mAh battery.
It is not yet precisely known when the new BlackBerry device will reach European consumers: at the moment, it has been decided to initially launch the product only in the United Kingdom. In the United States, consumers will have to wait until March, while in Canada the smartphone will be available for purchase starting February 5.
The price of the BlackBerry Z10 in the United States will be $599.
