BlackBerry, Application Resource Monitor to increase battery life

An app useful for increasing the battery life of your BlackBerry is here: it’s called Application Resource Monitor, here are its features.

RIM has announced that owners of BlackBerry 7.1 can download the “Application Resource Monitor” app.
This is a useful application for monitoring and thus extending the battery life of your device.
Once Application Resource Monitor is downloaded, the app will keep track of the BlackBerry‘s energy consumption, primarily reporting applications that – while inactive – still consume battery resources.
After identifying them, these will be flagged via a notification, and the user can then act manually, deciding to intervene on individual apps or ignore the warning message; alternatively, you can also choose to set automatic closing for applications that, although inactive, continue to “drain” the battery.

Finally, it is also possible to flag apps that you still want to keep running by adding them to a dedicated whitelist.
The new Application Resource Monitor thus enriches the range of options provided by RIM to rationalize energy usage.
Before this app, in fact, “Power Saving Mode” and “Application Management” were already available to make the most of monitor brightness levels and save by optimizing unused apps, languages that lead to energy expenditure, etc…
It is important to note that the new Application Resource Monitor is already available completely free of charge.
