BlackBerry 10 could be featured on a new smartphone by RIM, set for upcoming release: little information is available, but there could be news in the coming days.
From the United States of America come some news regarding the next moves of RIM, Research in Motion. For some hours now, unseen photos have been circulating that reportedly show a prototype smartphone called BlackBerry, likely delivered to selected developers to start testing.
It would be a device that could already be equipped with BlackBerry 10, the hypothetical, brand-new operating system signed by RIM.
The first site to share photos of this “test mule” – named BlackBerry 10 Alpha Developer – is CrackBerry: from here started the news concerning this anticipated RIM development which, however, has not yet received any official confirmation.
No problem: from tomorrow, May 1st, to May 3rd, the “BlackBerry World” event will take place, and it is therefore reasonable to assume that some previews might be revealed by the Canadian company’s representatives.
Regarding the leaked photos, one detail of no small importance can be noticed: it seems that the physical QWERTY keyboard, omnipresent on BlackBerry devices, is no longer present, making way instead for a full touchscreen.
More than a BlackBerry, the device shown resembles an HTC, with an elongated shape and beveled corners, equipped with a micro SD port, a micro HDMI port, and 16 GB of internal flash memory.
No further hypotheses can be made regarding the possible new device and its operating system: more will certainly be known in the coming days.
