The closure of Beats Music has been set and announced: service ends on November 30, 2015. What to do now?
There is no great surprise regarding the news of Beats Music’s closure, officially confirmed today with the announcement of a ‘final date’.
On November 30, 2015, the Beats Music platform will cease all services: from content streaming to support, and subscription procedures.
The end has been anticipated for several months, precisely since Apple announced its acquisition of Beats Music in May 2014 for 3 billion dollars.
Since then, the inevitable ‘transition’ of users from Beats Music to the new music streaming service Apple Music has begun.
Therefore, the end of the first platform arrives naturally, as expected, and for this reason, is unavoidable.
Of course, all registered Beats Music users will be able to continue using Apple Music services without losing any personalized data previously set up with the first platform.
In the coming days, Apple is expected to release an automatic mechanism for transferring music libraries and, importantly, personalized playlists, which can thus be quickly found on Apple Music as well.
At the time of writing, the tool has not yet been made operational, but Apple will soon provide it in order to allow subscribers a few days to proceed with the transfer process before the definitive closure of Beats Music.
