ARCHOS has announced the new ARCHOS Drone which will be available starting from October 2016.
This small ready-to-fly object can reach a height of 50 meters and fly at a speed of 7.7 meters per second for about 7 minutes.ARCHOS Dronecan be used for pure fun or for amazing HD footage that cannot be achieved in any other way. ARCHOS Drone, weighing only 135 grams yet being very robust, has eight propellers (four spares), two landing gear, and four protective guards. The drone can be easily maneuvered and the propellers are replaceable in case of damage, making the device particularly suitable for novices.
With a 6-axis gyroscope and an accelerometer, the ARCHOS Drone is equipped with all the functions that ensure good flight both indoors and outdoors: takeoff, landing, altitude hold, 360° flip, speed selection, and Headless mode. The drone has several automated flight procedures, as well as an emergency button in case of need, which makesARCHOS Droneparticularly easy to use. In addition, the LED lights also allow for night sessions.
The drone, which reaches maximum speed in a few seconds and quickly reaches 50 meters in height, reaches a horizontal speed of 7.7 meters per second while a vertical speed of 1.6 meters per second.
The integrated 1 MP camera is the real attraction.ARCHOS Dronecaptures all types of aerial videos, reaching an HD resolution of 1280 x 720 pixels which can be stored on the included 4 GB MicroSD card. It is also possible to stream content to a smartphone in real time.
ARCHOS Dronesessions range from 7 to 9 minutes and make the tool the perfect solution for beginners. Replacement drone batteries are made available for purchase for all those who wish to become enthusiasts.
ARCHOS Dronefeatures its own controller that allows for dedicated WiFi connections and ensures a perfectly stable connection. The drone can be easily controlled with a pre-downloaded Remote app on a smartphone with Google Android 2.2 or later, or on an Apple iOS 5.1.1 or later device.
