Archos 50 Cesium is the new smartphone soon to be released by the French company: here are its price and features.
The French company Archos will be launching more than one new product in the coming weeks. Among these, the Archos 50 Cesium smartphone is arriving with an affordable price tag. This is a smartphone equipped with the Windows mobile operating system; this is certainly not a new departure for the company, as its catalog has featured models like the Archos 40 Cesium in the past, also with Windows Phone. This time, however, the news stands out, considering that the upcoming Archos 50 Cesium runs on the brand new Windows 10 Mobile operating system and is therefore one of the first devices of its kind to be introduced to the European and consequently Italian markets. Regarding other technical specifications, it is equipped with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 210 processor; it’s a 64-bit Quad-Core with a 1.1 GHz clock speed. The RAM is 1 GB, while the native internal memory is 8 GB, expandable via a microSD card to be purchased separately. Even based on these initial specifications alone, it can be stated that we are looking at an entry-level smartphone. As for the screen, it’s a 5-inch HD touchscreen with a resolution of 1080 x 720 pixels. The camera setup consists of two lenses: the main rear camera is 8 Megapixels, while the front camera is 2 Megapixels.
The final technical detail that has been officially released concerns the battery: it will be 2,100 mAh, which, considering the device’s minimal specifications, should provide good battery life and performance. Regarding the price of the Archos 50 Cesium, it’s confirmed that the smartphone will be sold in English-speaking countries for 99 pounds, so it’s estimated that the price in Italy will be around 140 – 150 euros.
