Apple Watch is here, just unveiled by the Cupertino company: here’s the price range and release date.
The Apple event scheduled for 11:00 AM in San Francisco (7:00 PM yesterday, Monday, March 9th in Italy) took place as planned, unveiling the latest project from the Cupertino-based company.
In fact, the Apple Watch was officially presented, introduced by Tim Cook who explained that since childhood he dreamed of a watch with which he could make phone calls.
One striking detail is that, compared to smartwatches already on the market, for the first time consideration is given to a specific target audience, often overlooked even in the most “mundane” everyday objects: Apple Watch was designed for easy use by left-handed people as well. This smartwatch is indeed reversible, so that the side dial can be placed on either the right or the left.
With Apple Watch, you can receive and make phone calls, as well as SMS, emails, and various notifications. At the same time, however, you can decide to redirect everything to your iPhone.
A dictation system allows for quick use without having to type much on the display, which, compared to other competitors, is smaller and sleeker.
Speaking of the screen, it recognizes the “force” with which you touch it and is also sensitive enough to allow you to draw something, then share it with your contacts, even in real-time.
The available versions of Apple Watch will be very numerous, so prices will vary considerably. This is the first time Apple will be in a situation to launch so many different models of the same device on the market, while still allowing for a high standard of Apple Watch customization.
Regarding one of the most debated points in recent weeks, namely the battery life of this wearable, Apple states that – on paper – the battery life ensures the device operates for 18 hours before needing a new charge.
The release of Apple Watch is scheduled for April 24th, but only in Apple Stores in Australia, Canada, China, France, Germany, Hong Kong, Japan, the United Kingdom, and the United States.
Potential Italian buyers will have to wait a few more weeks, as the Cupertino-based company has not included our country in the first “batch” of the new device.
As for the prices of Apple Watch, they will range from $349 for the base “Apple Watch Sport” version (with a 38mm case), up to $10,000 – yes, that’s not a typo or an incorrect figure – for the extremely luxurious gold version.
