Autorip, Amazon‘s system for digital albums and free mp3s, has arrived in Italy after its launch in America.
Some time ago on FullPress we introduced a novelty regarding the sale of music on Amazon: the AutoRip.
system. Through this unprecedented application, Amazon customers who purchase a physical copy of a music album can automatically and free of charge receive the digital copy of the same work.
In practice, once the purchase of music on physical copy is correctly finalized – whether it’s a CD or a vinyl record, it makes no difference for the system – you will simultaneously obtain the digital copy, which will be available in the cloud on Amazon and downloadable even later.
This way, you will have free mp3s in 256 kbps audio quality of the tracks on the CD, which can be listened to immediately on your PC through the Amazon Cloud, not to mention that the download can also be done on portable devices.
Just as it happened for the US market, also in Europe and Italy, Amazon’s AutoRip will have retroactive effect: all the music that has been purchased on Amazon – even in the past – will be available in digital format.
