Acer explicitly declares its intention not to abandon the production of netbooks, despite entering the tablet market.
Acer announces its entry into the market with its new tablets but stresses that its involvement in this sector absolutely does not prejudice the production and sale of netbooks.
Despite circulating rumors, the release of a tablet with Sandy Bridge architecture has been officially denied. The flagship products in the tablet sector are three, with different characteristics: one of them is powered by Windows, while the other two run on Android:
- Acer 10.1″ Android tablet
- Acer 7″ Android tablet
- Acer 10.1″ Windows tablet
Acer thus announces that, by adapting to the needs of consumers who are evidently increasingly interested in mobility, it will continue to provide netbook solutions that will complement the most recent releases of Acer-branded tablets.
