Acer presents the new “Aspire Timeline Ultra M5”, ultrabooks coming from the end of June: here are the officialized prices and the already known features.

The Acer family is growing with new ultrabooks: the introduction of the “Aspire Timeline Ultra M5” took place during the Computex 2012 event.
The company seems particularly proud of the aesthetic and therefore functional result achieved: the thickness is just over 2 centimeters while the weight is around just over 4 kilograms.
Two versions will reach stores:
- Aspire Timeline Ultra M5 with a 14-inch display;
- Aspire Timeline Ultra M5 with a 15.6-inch display.
The first will feature an Intel Core i3 processor at 1.5 GHz, while the second model will be supported by an Intel Core i5 at 2.6 GHz.
It will run the Windows 7 operating system, and it will be possible to upgrade to Windows 8 as soon as it’s available by paying an extra $15 for the upgrade.
There are still a couple of substantial differences between the two versions: the first concerns memory. The 14-inch ultrabook will have 6GB of RAM, while the larger model will be offered with both 4GB and 6GB of RAM.
As for internal storage, however, nothing definitive is known yet.
Finally, the graphics cards change: an Intel HD in the first case, an Nvidia GT640M in the second.
The arrival in stores is expected at the end of June at a price that, depending on the model and referring to the US price list, will range between $679.99 and $829.99.
