The PlayStation smartphone called Zeus, aka PlayStation Phone, could hit the shelves as early as Spring 2011, according to specialized foreign press reports.
We return to discussing the PlayStation Phone, the new Sony smartphone positioned halfway between a phone and a portable PlayStation. Today’s rumor, launched by the newspaper Asahi Shimbun, suggests that the PlayStation Phone could be commercially available as early as Spring 2011, at least in the United States and likely in Europe as well.
When approached, Sony declined to make official statements, calling the predictions revealed by the Japanese newspaper Asahi Shimbun “speculation.”
It is likely that we will learn more in the coming month, as it is a time for news from all manufacturers in the sector: major innovations and new product launches always coincide with the CES in Los Angeles or during the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona.
If the commercialization of the PlayStation Phone is confirmed, something more will likely emerge at one of these two events.
The rumors have not added anything new regarding the supposed features of the smartphone-console.
