A new craze has broken out, halfway between wellness and technological trend: it’s GymnHouse, fitness to do in the living room with the help of the Wii, Kinect, and various consoles.
Away with laziness: with GymnHouse, there will be no more excuses to skip your – at least weekly – fitness session. The latest trend connected to consoles has exploded: exercising comfortably at home, in your living room, interacting with the Wii, Kinect, or any useful device.
The evolution of fitness in a techno-home setting involves the ability to connect new 3D webcams capable of processing the body movements of the person exercising in the living room, as is the case with the new title “Your Shape: Fitness Evolved” by Ubisoft.
The release of Kinect has further boosted this trend, which was already well-fueled by the Wii Fit console, offering many fitness-themed games to play with the Wii Balance Board.
The latest novelty is the TV commercials featuring David Beckham: the new EA SPORTS Active 2 line available for Kinect for Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, Wii, iPhone, and iPod Touch.
Burning calories within the four walls of your home therefore becomes simple, not demanding at all, and perhaps a daily habit. However, as precise as these tools may be, the absence of a real-life personal trainer is not recommended for those with posture or back problems: in such cases, it is always better to turn to someone who can effectively and with experience guide movements without causing joint problems.
For everyone else, the era of laziness and fatigue, which discourages even preparing a gym bag, is therefore over: in an age of massive interaction through screens, the evolution of fitness is precisely GymnHouse.
