The announcement of Angry Birds going free for Android was enough to make the Android Market literally overwhelmed. Angry Birds is a video game, or more precisely, a puzzle game, born from the labs of Rovio, a Finnish company. The free version includes some brief in-game advertisements, but a version without ads will be released soon, though it will come at a price, the amount of which is currently unknown.
Angry Birds features a host of amusing birds battling against pigs, the villains of the story. It’s a simple and undemanding game that, likely due to these characteristics, has immediately gained many fans, a fact confirmed by the download numbers over two days.
