The new desktop version of Facebook is fresher and more intuitive, it was designed from scratch using new technologies.

Find things faster

Find what you’re looking for: Games, Videos, or Groups faster thanks to the new simplified navigation. The homepage loads faster, as do the transitions between pages. The desktop experience will therefore be more similar to the mobile experience.

Manage Pages, Groups, and Events easily

With the new version, it’s easier to create Events, Pages, Groups, and ads. You’ll be able to see a real-time preview of a new Group you’re creating, checking how it looks on mobile before publishing it. The new Facebook.com is simpler and easier to use, with the features you already know and love. Go to the Settings menu and click on “Report a problem” if you want to provide us with feedback.

Once the rollout is complete, over the next few weeks, these will be the main new features:

• Find things faster: find what you’re looking for faster thanks to the new simplified navigation. Additionally, the homepage will load faster and switching between pages will be quicker.
• Cleaner look, larger text: larger fonts and a simplified layout will make your operations easier.
• View photos and videos full-screen: stay updated and comment on Stories, videos, and albums thanks to a new, more engaging layout.
• Manage Pages, Groups, and Events easily: with the new version, it’s easier to create Events, Pages, Groups, and ads. You’ll be able to see a real-time preview of a new Group you’re creating, checking how it looks on mobile before publishing it.
• Less eye strain: the new Dark Background mode is less bright, with less contrast and less brightness. This mode minimizes screen glare for use in low-light conditions.

Announced during the last F8, the new desktop version of Facebook will be progressively made available to all users. Faster and easier to use, it is also designed to cause less eye strain thanks to the new dark background mode. The new immersive layout makes the Dark Background mode perfect for watching videos on Facebook Watch.
